Sunday Mornings // What to Expect
Living Word is excited to be able to serve you and your children! As you prepare for Sunday morning at Living Word, here's what you can expect.
Parents are required to check their children in each Sunday morning at the self-serve check-in stations located in the Children’s Wing. New guests can visit the welcome desk and a children's ministry worker will help you sign in and give you a name tag to place on your child. You will receive an identification sticker for you to use to pick up your child. Once you've checked in, you may drop your child off at their classroom. Pick-up is located at your child's classroom. If we need to contact you during the service, your child's number will appear on the screen in the sanctuary.
Each Children's Ministry Team Member has undergone screening and a background check by the state of Washington and has been trained. Our childcare helpers are here to make your child's experience both fun and exciting.
This classroom is for the babies (newborn to around 24 months old). Please provide a small diaper bag, with all of your belongings labeled, for your child. A small snack will be provided if at an appropriate age. Please notify team members if your child has any allergies or if you packed a snack/bottle you would prefer your child to have.
This room is for children who are two years old. As children enter the classroom they will be invited to participate in a hands-on activity. Children will then hear a Bible story and will engage in play time and an activity that is related to that day's Bible story. Please provide a small diaper bag, with all of your belongings labeled, for your child. A small snack will be provided. Please notify team members if your child has any allergies or if you packed a snack you would prefer your child to have.
3-5's + Kindergarteners
The children in the Three's classroom, the Four's Classroom, and the Five's/Kindergarten classroom will be invited to participate in a hands-on activity when they enter the classroom. They will sing worship songs together as well as pray together. Each week the children are told a Bible story and are encouraged to participate in an activity that is related to what they learned that day. A small snack will be provided. Please notify team members if your child has any allergies or if you packed a snack you would prefer your child to have.
The 1st-4th grade children meet upstairs in the Youth center for a time of worship and Bible lesson. They learn how they can participate in the "Big God Story" today, and what it means to know God.
