Living Word began with a simple conviction: God is at work in our world to save and restore. When people gather around the scriptures with open hearts, lives are transformed.

In 1977, a handful of families pooled their resources to purchase the 10-acre property where we still meet today. What started as a small group of believers with a shared hunger for truth, has grown into a multi-generational, multiethnic church body marked by God’s faithfulness in every season.

Over the years, Living Word has become a place where people are encouraged and equipped to follow Jesus and help others do the same. Today, Living Word stands as a testimony to what God can build through ordinary people who put their trust in Jesus. And the story isn’t finished. It is still being written, one life at a time!

  • Our Mission is to follow Jesus, and help others know and follow Him.

  • Our vision is to see people CONNECTING with God, GROWING in relationship with Jesus and one another, and leveraging their lives in SERVING others.

  • We Value God's Presence

We pursue a personal and authentic connection with God through prayer, worship, scripture reading, and serving opportunities, making His presence central in both personal and public spaces.

    We Value Progress, Not Perfection

We believe that following Jesus is a lifelong journey of learning, transformation, and becoming more like Him, both individually and together. This work is wholistic including the mind, body, and emotions.

    We Value Formation Through Relationship

We are better together. We intentionally build relationships that encourage, challenge, and support one another with love, grace, and accountability.

    We Value Sacrificial Generosity

We joyfully leverage our time, gifts, and resources to serve others, both inside and outside the church, reflecting Christ’s heart for the world.

    We Value Servant Leadership

We live with purpose, using what God has entrusted to us to make a difference in our neighborhoods, cities, and nations for His glory. We intentionally build and empower teams, believing leadership is most effective when it is shared.

    We Value God’s Creative Intention

We believe every person is intentionally created in the image of God, uniquely designed with purpose, dignity, and value. We honor the beauty of His craftsmanship in every life by celebrating diversity, championing potential, and equipping people to step into their calling, developing leaders and sending them to make an impact in their communities and around the world.
